Rohingya Crisis

The Jewish Coalition for Rohingya Relief formed in December 2017, as the situation for the Rohingya community worsened. Currently, 615,500 Rohingya have been forced across the border to Bangladesh due to fleeing conflict in their native land. These refugees arrived with few possessions and require immediate humanitarian assistance for food, and other life-saving needs. The JCDR is currently collecting funds to provide assistance to this dire humanitarian crisis.

The Coalition’s response has included an allocation to:

  • Israid to improve the health and hygiene of vulnerable Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh, particularly sexual reproductive health, maternal and child health.
